On June 27 and 28, North Shore Medical Center (NSMC) will join NBC 7/CW 56 and Partners HealthCare for a free health and fitness expo at Boston’s Hynes Convention Center. The name of the event is Boston Health Expo (web site here).

This year NSMC will present information on the keys to healthy weight management. It is no secret that obesity is a growing epidemic in America, but there are some relatively simple changes people can make in their daily habits that can pay off quickly. NSMC will even let you experience the hit game “Dance Dance Revolution” and see just how many calories you can burn.

The Boston Health and Fitness Expo will also feature: free medical tests and screenings interactive sports, fitness, and health activities and demonstrations for the entire family “Cooking with the Dish” healthy cooking demonstrations with 7 News anchor Frances Rivera and celebrity chef Celebrity guests from the sports and entertainment world including Patriots Linebacker Tedy Bruschi, Boston Pops conductor Keith Lockhart and all the 7 News on-air personalities. Last year, more than 75,000 people from across New England attended this free event. The expo runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days.
