The Psychiatry Department at NSMC provides both inpatient and outpatient services through NSMC facilities in Lynn, Salem and Danvers. Our geriatric psychiatric expertise, as well as our pediatric and adolescent expertise, distinguish us among area providers. We also have several community clinics serving adults.

As an affiliate of Partners Psychiatric, we work closely with Massachusetts General, McLean and Brigham & Women’s Hospitals.

Some of the conditions we treat are depression, anxiety, psychosis and schizophrenia, as well as bipolar, mood, borderline and obsessive-compulsive disorders. Our expertise in matching clients with the most appropriate level of care has resulted in fewer and shorter hospitalizations, reduced overall use of health care resources and increased quality of life.
