Health Benefits
North Shore Medical Center offers you a choice of medical and insurance options. Each medical resident will be responsible for a portion of the cost of these insurance plans.
Professional Liability Insurance Coverage
Residents are covered by the hospitals professional liability insurance while performing duties within the scope of the medical education program.
Educational AllowanceGraduating third-year residents are provided with up to $1,000 reimbursement for enrollment in an approved board review course.
Meals & Uniforms Meal vouchers are provided to residents on-night call. Residents are provided with two lab coats during each year of training.
Parking
Residents are provided with on-campus free parking.
Vacation/Personal/Educational/Sick Time
Residents are allotted fifteen days of paid vacation time annually.
They also receive three sick days, two personal days, two Educational days in their first year (for USMLE Step 3 only), three Educational days in their second year and five Educational days in their third year.
