Pediatric Cardiology
We provide comprehensive cardiac care to infants, children, and adolescents with congenital or acquired heart disease. Our pediatric cardiologists have consistently achieve excellent results in the interventional cardiology, echocardiography and fetal cardiology surgeries they perform. We are proud of our particular expertise in the area of percutaneous transcatheter techniques. Many of our procedures were pioneered at the MGHfC's Center for Excellence in Interventional Cardiology, and give us the ability to correct cardiac defects as non-invasively as possible. As part of our preventive cardiology program, we also evaluate children and families with lipid disorders. Children with cardiac rhythm disturbances are managed by state-of-the-art techniques.
Our attending physicians work in close collaboration with you and your child's primary care provider throughout the course of treatment, and are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to answer questions. For best results, the same pediatric cardiologist will care for your child throughout the course of treatment. Should surgery become necessary, we refer you to the most appropriate cardiac surgeon.
