The Pain Center at NSMC provides evaluation and treatment for a wide range
of painful conditions.
We offer timely appointments, same day doctor-to-doctor consultations and prompt notes faxed to your referring physicians’ office.
Through our collaboration with Anaesthesia Associates of Massachusetts* we are able to offer board-certified specialists in pain management and anesthesiology who provide comprehensive solutions to chronic pain.

Treatments
The NSMC Pain Center uses the most advanced developments and proven therapies in pain management. Treatments include but are not limited to:
- Epidural steroid injection
- Facet injections
- Sympathetic nerve blocks
- Radio frequency lesioning
- Botox injections
Alternative therapies
The NSMC Pain Center collaborates closely with our department of Wellness and Integrative Medicine to offer alternative therapies including acupuncture, reiki, massage and other approaches. Many of these services can be offered in additional to traditional therapies.
*Anaesthesia Associates of Massachusetts manages anesthesia services at major institutions and clinics throughout Eastern Massachusetts including Boston Medical Center, New England Baptist Hospital, Mount Auburn Hospital and Saints Memorial Hospital.
