
Some women suffer from sexual dysfunction, a condition they may be uncomfortable discussing or even admitting to; however, this kind of dysfunction is often treatable.
NSMC can diagnose and treat sexual dysfunction in a respectful, supportive atmosphere. Speak to either your primary care physician or your OB-GYN if you are concerned that you may have a sexual dysfunction.
Some common types of sexual dysfunction are:
- hypoactive sexual desire disorder (low sexual desire)
- sexual aversion disorder
- female sexual arousal disorder (inability to attain or maintain a physical response to sexual arousal)
- female orgasmic disorder (inability to achieve orgasm or delayed orgasm)
- dsypareunia (pain during sexual intercourse)
- vaginismus (painful spasms of the muscles of the vagina preventing intercourse)
