Pediatrics
The Family Resource Center serves children, adolescents, families and professionals. We provide a range of resources through our Behavioral Health Library.  Marian Myers, PA, MPH, and Marguerite Roberts, MS, NP, organize and run conferences, workshops and family support programs, and are on hand to assist you with your research needs.

NEW!  Learn to Cope North Shore   
A parent to parent peer support group for families living with the drug addiction of a loved one. Weekly group meets every Thursday 7-9pm in Lynch Conference Room, NS Children's Hospital. No registration or fee. Contact Marguerite Roberts for more information.  view flier

Parents of Bipolar Children Support Group   A support group for parents who wish to share strategies and offer support to other parents of bipolar children. Contact Marian Myers

Parents Helping Parents--This support group meets weekly and follows a successful statewide model. Free, confidential and anonymous. Call 1.800.882.1250 to get a referral. Sibling Support Program – Sibshop is an exciting program for siblings (age 8-12) of children with any developmental, behavioral or medical health disorder. Programs are also available for 4-6 year olds. Contact Marguerite Robertsview flier

ADHD Parent Support Groups – parents support and guide one another through the challenges of parenting children with behavioral, social and educational issues. Meets weekly in a series. Both morning and evening groups are available. Contact Marguerite Robertsview flier

Grandparents Raising Grandchildren Group
– a support group for grandparents raising grandchildren. The group meets the 1st and 3rd Monday of the month from 11– 12 a.m. in the Family Resource Center.

Community Education Programs
– programs are available throughout the year in the area of children’s medical, developmental, behavioral and mental health. The topics and format change based on community requests. Programs are available for parents, educators and professionals.

Health Education Consultations – assistance provided to families in accessing information related to their child’s special needs. Literature, books, videos and computer links are easily attained in the Resource Center with the guidance of a Clinical Specialist.
